WHAT MOTIVATES YOU?

Good Morning! This is my second blog post this week YAY! I didn't plan on writing a blog post, but I had such a good conversation with my fiance this morning I wanted to share.

Before I jump into it, I just wanted to say I feel like I am really getting the hang of this whole blogging thing. Before, my blogs were planned out days ahead of time and didn't really have a genuine or personal feel.. My last few blogs have been unplanned and just talking.. (typing) whatever is on my mind. And these blog posts have been doing better than my planned ones.. Let me know if you like these!

Okay, back to what motivates you.

It is Valentine's Day morning and James and I are talking on the phone as we are on our way to work. We talk every single morning before work and it is the highlight of my long, traffic-y commute. I was telling him one of my best friends, Haley, is in Disneyland with her boyfriend for Valentine's Day and how I wish we were there. James and I have been to Disneyland A LOT, but we have never gone for Valentine's Day. We jokingly said, "Well if you call in sick, we can be there by noon". And that is where the motivation came in.

As you may know, James and I are starting our own business. We both have the entrepreneurial bug, BAD. I have know since I was 18 years old that I was meant to be self- employed. And James has known even earlier than me. But that is all for another blog post..

Anyway, as we were talking about ditching our jobs and driving to Disneyland, it made me sooo motivated. My dream is to one day wake up and say "You know what, let's go spend Valentine's Day in Disneyland". or one day when I have kids "Forget school today, let's go to Disneyland" (Lol keep in mind I am 23 and do not have any type of parental experience- so may not be good advice.. but you get the point) But to be able to forget work for the day and do something fun, without having to call in sick or fake a heart attack (again.. not really good advice) now that is the dream. Not to worry about sick days, vacation days, meetings, yadda yadda. Anyway, I promise to myself I will work as hard as I can to be self employed. Many things motivate people- money, recognition, promotion. And it may be silly, but Disneyland motivated me this morning..

I'd love to hear what motivates you!
